Do you have insurance?
London Rate Ltd. is insured with full public liability cover up to £1,000,000 and professional indemity insurance £250,000.
The cleaners are self-employed and London Rate does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for
any loss, expense, damage arising from any act or omission by
the introduced cleaner.
Are your cleaners, high quality and safe? All cleaners are personally interviewed and tested in our director's own homes. We won't introduce anyone into your home that we wouldn't be happy to invite into our own!
How do you ensure reliability and honesty?
By checking all the references provided by the cleaner. If she/he cannot provide verifiable reference we do not work with them. We take extra care when tracing each applicant's history. There are no exceptions. We also provide training to make sure that all of our quality standards are being met on a continuous basis.
How do you vet your cleaners?
Our vetting procedure involves: Proof of identity, Proof of address, Proof of immigration status, Proof of experience and reliability, Tests on common cleaning tasks. London Rate gives all candidates who have passed the vetting procedure training in health and safety and key safekeeping. They are also monitored closely at all times.

Currently, we cover the whole of London.
What happens if I move house?
London Rate will transfer your account to another address providing it is in the Greater London area.
Can I have a regular cleaner once a fortnight or once month?
Yes. You can have a regular cleaner once fortnight or once a month. However, you need to book in advance.

Can my cleaner come when I am at work?
Yes. You can leave a set of keys to our cleaner. You don't have to wait for the cleaner every time and you will never be late for work again.
90% of our cleaners hold keys for clients' homes. They have gone through our security training with regards to safe keeping keys. It is a convenient way to have your property maintained without having to wait for someone to turn up.
Can I specify the day of the week the cleaner comes?
We make every effort to meet the requirements of our clients and are assisted in this task by our sophisticated database and Internet software. In the majority of cases you can specify the day and the time. If your request cannot be met then you will be automatically presented with the nearest alternative options.
Are there any extra charges I have to pay - transport, holiday pay?
There are no extra charges like transport, holiday pay etc. What you use is what you pay for and that is the rate for the cleaning service you have booked.
Do you provide transport for your cleaners?
No. Our cleaners use public transport and their own means of transport.
What services do you provide?
London Rate's cleaners are experts in the following cleaning services: Domestic cleaning End of tenancy cleaning Spring clean After builders clean Office cleaning Specialist floor cleaning Building cleaning maintenance Janitorial supplies Waiter and waitress Party help After party clean up.
Who pays the cleaner you or I?
You do. Our regular clients pay the cleaner the rate per hour on the day of the work.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Cheque, Postal order, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and direct bank transfer.
Who provides the cleaning materials and equipment?
You are responsible for providing the cleaning products and equipment and any instructions with regards to operating the equipment provided by you. Sometimes, we may be able to provide cleaning products and equipment, but there will be a small charge.
What happens if I am dissatisfied with the cleaning service?
In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction with the cleaning services London Rate will re-do the job free of charge and replace the original cleaner with another regular cleaner immediately. In order to solve any issue related to poor quality service we need to receive full feedback as soon as any problems occur. .
Is there a minimum number of hours per cleaning visit?
Yes. You need to book at least 3 hours per cleaning visit.
Can I cancel a booking? How much notice do I need to give?
Yes. You can cancel a booking providing you give us at least 48 hours notice. We will credit the full booking fee against your future bookings with us or we will issue you a cheque for 80% of the booking fee.
Can I cancel a block booking and get a refund?
Yes. You can cancel a block booking at any time if you are not happy with our services and/or move outside of the area we currently cover. You will get a cheque refund of 80% of the remaining booking fee.
Do I have to pay anything when I go away for a couple of weeks?
No. You only pay when you use our cleaning service. We require 24 hours notice before the date and time of your last visit before you go and the date of your first cleaning when you are back to stop or set a visit.
What are your cleaners' working hours?
Our cleaners work any day of the week from 07.00 to 19.00 including Public and Bank holidays. Cleaners can finish later than 19.00 if pre-agreed with London Rate.
